Introduction:

Tea by Post is a pilot seed-sharing project initiated by artist Brenda Kearney in early 2021; in response to an initial call for public participation, seeds were shared by post for growing herbs. In return, they received updates on research and growing in the form of small drawings and publications, and a special edition herbal tea at the project's harvest time. This tea served as a portrait of all seeds generously shared. This initial run of the project was designed as an open research year, which developed in response to interest and participation.
